Border Crossing - COVID19
Temporary restrictions on non-essential travel remain in place for travellers coming from Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia into the European Union and the Republic of Slovenia.
Measures and restrictions in place for crossing the Slovenian border depend on the country from which a person is arriving to Slovenia. Holders of valid Schengen visas should not expect their entry into the EU or the Republic of Slovenia to be granted automatically. In example, travelling from the above mentioned countries for the purpose of tourism is currently still not possible. Apart from visa holders, some of the measures in place during COVID19 pandemic pertaining to the border crossing are also relevant to the EU citizens and long time residents.
For detailed and updated information regarding the conditions for border crossing into the Republic of Slovenia we therefore advise our clients to visit the website of Slovenian Police and the central website of the state administration.
